🏅 Vincent's Sky - Finalist for Sousa-ABA-Ostwald Composition Contest

Vincent's Sky, my work for choir & wind ensemble, was one of 3 finalists (out of 150 entries) for the Sousa-ABA-Ostwald Composition Contest -- the premiere award for composition in the wind ensemble world.

This is a huge honor and I'm thrilled to be amongst the other finalists: Henry Dorn, Patrick Harlin, and the winner Zhou Tian.

Commissioned by a consortium of 25 ensembles from across the country, Vincent's Sky is a an extended work for choir and wind ensemble. This 17-minute journey explores artist Vincent van Gogh’s emotional world through the lens of three of his paintings, guided by his own words and those of Walt Whitman.
