Guest conducting at Western Michigan University
I love working with ensembles of all levels as a guest clinician and conductor. If you’re performing my music, I’d love to come and talk about the piece, work with the ensemble on bringing the music to life, answer questions, and interact with your musicians and community as a living composer!
Having guest conducted all levels of ensembles, from high school to professional, I’m deeply interested in the creative and collaborative process of bringing a work to life. Please contact me for details about working with your ensemble.
If we are unable to arrange an in-person residency, I love working with groups via FaceTime or Skype in a video clinic! I can listen to the group perform, give feedback, provide background information on the music, answer questions, and allow the musicians to connect with a living composer! It’s an easy and inexpensive way to interact with a living composer!
A residency allows two days or more for your ensemble or students to interact with a living composer! I enjoy giving masterclasses (composition, music business, music interpretation), serving as a guest conductor/clinician, giving private composition lessons, and more!
